One short, handwritten letter by C. F. Yeaton to Fred Lockley describing his arrival in Spokane in 1873, and the sale of his post trade business. The letter has very little information as it refers to a previous conversation with Fred Lockley.

C. F. Yeaton was one of the first white settlers in Spokane Falls. As a partner of James N. Glover, they established the first sawmill. The Yeaton Family only remained in Spokane from 1872 to 1876.
